OC athletes, weekend warriors, and everyday movers — Do you have persistent pain in your inner or outer elbow? Has gripping a racket or swinging a golf club become too painful to play anymore? Elbow pain can stop you from enjoying the activities you love. For many, this discomfort is ongoing, and relief seems elusive. Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow are among the most common causes, affecting millions of people each year. Many misunderstand the cause, thinking it is due to inflammation. But what if the problem is not inflammation, but a lack of circulation and healing? Our approach focuses on accurate diagnosis and healing the root cause, not just masking symptoms.
The Highest Concentration PRP
PRP stands for Platelet rich plasma. The heart of our treatment program is a 2 stage process that yields the highest concentration of platelets and their healing factors. More platelets = more healing potential. We have developed processes that consistently yield 10-20 times the platelet counts of common systems, allowing us to fix most elbow problems with just 1 injection.
We Know the Success Recipe
We offer our patients the best therapies also shown to complement the effects of PRP. This includes ultrasound guidance for accurate placement of the healing factors. We also provide a red light therapy unit as part of our package allowing our patients better and faster results. We include curated supplements and a video exercise program that allows busy individuals to do therapy from home.
Your Result is Guaranteed
We know that your result is all that matters. That's why we offer a guarantee with our treatment program. 90% of our patients are cured with a single injection within 3 months. For those who are not, we repeat the injection for free. That's a $1500 value on us.
Come see us for a consultation in our San Juan Capistrano Clinic. Our elbow specialist will examine you and perform high definition ultrasound imaging to see if our program could help.
Start your treatment. In most cases, this involves a single injection of platelet rich plasma (PRP).
We offer 90 days of followup and support. This includes supplements, red light therapy, and an exercise program that enhances your healing.

I was very pleased with the results of my PRP injection. Together with physical therapy, there was substantial healing to my injury, to the point that I am able to return to activities that I was doing prior to my injury. Dr. Sohn and his staff are kind and care about their patients

PRP stands for platelet rich plasma. It is a cell therapy that concentrates the platelets and their associated healing factors from your own blood. PRP is helpful in healing damaged tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and the linings of joints. Platelets are small blood cells that play a crucial role in wound healing and tissue repair. When a tissue is injured, platelets are the first to arrive at the site of injury. They contain alpha granules which can release various growth factors, including fibroblast growth factor (FGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), platelet derived growth factor (PDGF), and other cytokines which promote healing and regeneration of the damaged tissue. Platelets and PRP help to orchestrate an incredibly elegant and complicated series of steps some of which are pro-inflammatory, and others that are anti-inflammatory. It is these orderly steps that cause the body to heal damaged tissues like tendon and the lining of joints.
As of now, Tricare is the only insurance that covers PRP therapy. Other insurance companies and Medicare do not pay for PRP therapy. They are still considered experimental by most insurance companies. This may change in the future since recent meta-analysis studies show support for its safety and effectiveness.

Red Light Therapy, also known as Photobiomodulation Therapy, involves exposure to near-infrared light. This light can penetrate deep under the skin to muscles and tendons and is absorbed by the cells. Specifically, every cell of your body has small energy factories called mitochondria. These are important cell parts that create all of the energy that cells need in order to live and repair damage that might happen. Mitochondria are stimulated by red light, that is light in the spectrum from 600 to about 900 nanometers. So, red light can cause the mitochondria to produce more ATP, the basic energy unit. Red light therapy has been shown to stimulate healing cells (fibroblasts). It has also been shown to work by itself or in combination with PRP therapy. We provide a red light therapy unit for each patient to take home and use after their PRP injection.
We offer a 90 day success guarantee. If you have not had significant healing at your 3 month visit, we will repeat the injection for free. Our high concentration PRP system and our combined approach allows us to cure 90% of our patients with a single injection. In those cases where a single injection does not work, we are happy to repeat the injection for no additional charge.
